"It was on the window of a dry cleaners store and I was a little kid and I thought I'm not sure what that is but it must not be something here in Wichita. I knew It was a pipe organ and I knew what theater organs were to some extent.

"One day some years later I did find out indeed it was the Wichita Wurlitzer and came here when I was 14 or 15 years old, very much against my will, to see a silent film. A friend brought me here and within seconds I was hooked on the sound of this instrument and it changed my life."
