50th Anniversary Holiday Concert - December 3rd 2022
Come and celebrate the 50th anniversary of one of Wichita's most iconic pieces of history!
Originally the organ from the New York City Paramount Theater in Times Square, the Wurtlizer organ in Century II played its first concert on December 9, 1972. It has been playing longer in Wichita than it did in New York!
Wichita Native and internationally-acclaimed organist Brett Valliant will be at the keys, accompanying the film and playing holiday tunes to get us all in the spirit.
Come early to get a glimpse at the silent auction and enjoy a hot cocoa. Then join us for a brief history of the instrument, followed by the classic silent film comedy Big Business starring Laurel and Hardy as they try to sell Christmas trees in sunny Southern California. Then Brett will play some music including holiday favorites and of course, invite the crowd to sing-along.
Doors open at 6pm. Tickets $15 for adults, $5 for children 10 and under. VIP tickets are available in the upper balcony for $50, or $300 for a reserved table of 6. VIP includes soft drinks and light fare, and early access to the silent auction.
Tickets available at Select a Seat https://selectaseat.com/wurlitzer -- See you there!
